Dr. Julia Wu
had received guidance from the esteemed professor Erika Lux at Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover (Germany), Professor Michael Endres at University of Canterbury,Olga Kern (the winner of Van Cliburn International Piano Competition), and Pianist Earl Rose.

She received distinction and honors during her studies, and was selected to perform in the Final Concert at the Euro Music Festival in Germany. In the United States, Dr. Julia Wu was accepted to the graduate degree program in piano performance at Manhattan School of Music, Mannes School of Music, College-Conservatory of Music-University of Cincinnati, Indiana University, and Peabody Institute (with scholarship). She continued pursuing a Master’s degree in Piano Performance at Manhattan School of Music in 2014. Dr. Julia Wu was selected to perform at the Olga Kern (the winner of Van Cliburn International Piano Competition) Master Class. The performance garnered positive reviews from the esteemed professors and, during the same year, she received the third place in the Five Towns Music and Arts Association Young Musician’s Competition (NY).

In New York City, an information hub, Dr. Julia Wu perfected her piano performance and was able to systematically learn diverse knowledge and culture at an institute of higher education for music and arts. With a passion for the piano, arts, culture, and teaching, she decided to continue her studies and was admitted into a Doctoral Program in 2016. During the time in the United States, she gave performances (piano/ chamber music) at MSM’s Pforzheimer Hall, Miller Recital Hall, Mikowsky Recital Hall and the Kaufman Music Center (Ann Goodman recital Hall) in New York City with the compliment “a superb pianist and musician of stature and depth.”
